be happy

This Sabbath the pastor said that to live happily we need only three things:
- to love and be loved
- do something great/big in life
- have hope
Later as I sat down to write about this, I was surprised to realize I already have these three things! How could I not have noticed it when I first heard him say this. I must confess that I got kinda sad because I then thought that I only had the last one. But thankfully God opened my eyes to see how truly blessed I am.
So, I thank God for the unconditional love He bestows upon me, for giving me family and friends who love, support, and care about me. Also because I can share His love with them as well.
I’m thankful that when I put myself in His hands I’m capable of doing great things. You know, the best things we can do on this earth is not for ourselves but when we help and serve others. We then grow in all aspects of our lives when we serve and in the end we are most blessed.
Finally, I’m thankful because I have the greatest hope one could ever have - Jesus’ soon return. He is coming to take me home and live with my Savior eternally.
Lesson learned: I was already happy but didn’t know it.
Think about your own life and see how much you have, and how you’re actually much happier than you thought you were.
Simply be happy.
